Everett Birth Tubs

The Aqua Doula is a pool with firm, thin walls. It is 4’6″ diameter x 2′ tall. The interior (floor) portion of the tub is firm foam and the entire tub is covered with a sterile single use liner. There is a heating element built into the wall of the tub that maintains heat of the water.

The Birth Pool in a Box is an inflatable pool composed of three unique connected tubes. It is elliptical in shape, 56 x 45 x 27”. The interior portion  has an inflatable 'cushion' at one end and each rental use comes with a sterile single use liner.

Full-Service Rentals: ($350 plus tax | includes a $75 deposit): Once you reserve your tub, call us when you are in labor! Tubs  are delivered to you  24/7. The service includes around-the-clock delivery, set up, phone support, and tub use, as well as pump- out, cleaning, and removal of tub (within 24 hours).
 

​The rental period is generally 4 weeks; 2 weeks before and 2 weeks after your estimated due date. We recommend that you make your reservation well in advance as we may book months ahead of time.

The Service ($350)

Full Service: Rentals are delivered to you for 24/7. The service includes around-the-clock delivery, set up, phone support, and tub use, as well as pump- out, cleaning, and removal of tub. 

Self Service: Some families choose to pick up the tub and handle setup/return on their own. Tubs can be picked up from either Lynnwood or Kirkland beginning 2 weeks prior to the EDD. 
  • Tub Inspection: After the tub is returned, it will be inspected for damages/cleaning. If not you will be billed accordingly.
  • ​Damages/Missing Items fee:
    • Accessories (heater, cover, pump, hose connection): replacement at cost
    • Damage to actual tub necessitating replacement: Aquadoula (1/2 the total replacement fee: $600) | Birth Pool in a Box (1/2 the total replacement fee: $350)
Each rental includes the following kit:
  • 25’ hose (rated lead-free/BPA free for drinking water),
  • new fishnet
  • new sterile disposable liner
  • ​water thermometer
  • a submersible pump (for emptying the tub)
  • universal fitting connection for sink/hose
  • cover/heating unit/permanent liner (Aquadoula) or
  • Air pump (Birth Pool In a Box)

Things that you can do:

  • Place bath mats/towels around the tub
  • Add a tarp to protect your floor
  • Get a large pool noodle (sliced down the side) for extra cushioning around the edges; this is not provided but it's a good idea!
  • Twinkle/fairy lights or candles for ambiance!
